APPOINTMENT OF LIBRARY ASSISTANT     ONE POST


The Centre for Soft Matter Research (CSMR) invites applications for the post of LIBRARY ASSISTANT in the Pay Scale of Rs.5,200-20,200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2,400/- (Gross emoluments: Rs.19,663/-) as applicable to Central Government employees stationed at Bangalore.

 

Job profile :    To organize and maintain the present library collection on modern lines; to computerize library collection; to strengthen library collection both in print and electronic forms for books and journals; to maintain and liaise with other related libraries for interlibrary loan and resources sharing.

 
Qualification:

  1. Educational :  Essential :

    1. A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Science from a recognized University;

    2. M.L.I.Sc. from a recognized University;

    3. Skill of  computer applications in library environment

  2. Desirable

At least one years’ experience of  working in a scientific institute’s library (excluding training or short term courses).

  1. Age limit for direct recruits :    

Not exceeding 30 years (Relaxable up to 5 years for employees of Govt./PSU/ Autonomous Bodies/CSMR/Universities and candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBCs etc. as per Central Govt. Rules).

 

Reservation is applicable as per Central Government Rules.

No.1329, Prof. U.R.Rao Road, Jalahalli, Bangalore 560 013  by post/hand delivery not later than 21 March 2011. The envelope should be superscribed with "Application for Library Assistant".
